Damaged Man

The Story behind the song!

I find it interesting that, when I am feeling low, I tend to write sad songs that sound happy. Damaged Man is no different. How do I explain this? I’m not sure. I know we all experience loss in our lives but it’s when it happens that makes a huge difference in how we respond. Many of you know that I lost my mother when I was 4½ years old. I was way too young to understand how to deal with her loss and occasionally my younger self makes himself emotionally known to me. When that happens, it’s up to me to find words to capture his feelings.
